Tabful

How it works

Four steps from “who paid?” to “we’re square.”

No accounts to compare, no spreadsheet to keep. And you can try the important parts right on this page.

  1. 1

Make a group and invite people

Pick a type, a name and a currency. Share the invite as a link, a QR code or a short code. People who are not on Tabful yet can be added by name and merged later.

  2. 2

    Add what you spent

Say what it was, how much, who paid and who shares it. Choose how to split it. Tabful checks the numbers add up before saving.

  3. 3

    See where everyone stands

Balances update on every phone. Tabful works out the fewest payments that square the whole group, not just each bill.

  4. 4

    Settle up, with approval

Pay by UPI, cash or transfer, then record it. The other person approves, and only then do both balances move.

Step 2, live

Same bill, four ways to split it.

Change the total, tap through Equal, Exact, Percent and Shares. Watch the parts always add up to the exact total, to the last paisa.

Everyone pays the same share.

  • Y
    You ₹600
  • A
    Asha ₹600
  • D
    Dev ₹600
  • M
    Meera ₹600

Adds up to exactly ₹2,400 — Tabful never loses a paisa to rounding.

Step 3, live

Fewer payments, same result.

Four friends, four bills. Switch between repaying each bill, netting each pair, and what Tabful does.

Step 4, live

A payment counts when both of you say it happened.

Two phones, one debt. Press the buttons and watch what each person sees.

Asha owes Ravi from the Goa trip. Tap “I paid” on Asha’s phone.

Tabful never moves money itself. For UPI it opens your payment app with the amount ready; the payment happens there. More answers
