What's new
Release notes, in plain words.
What changed in Tabful and when, newest first. New versions reach Google Play in stages, so the very latest may take a little while to reach your phone.
9 October 2026
Tabful Pro arrives, plus clearer balances
- NewTabful Pro (monthly or yearly) can be bought through Google Play. It removes the banner ads, the watch-a-video limits and the unlock-each-member step.
- ImprovedThe Home screen keeps each currency separate. If you have groups in rupees and dollars, you see each one's balance in its own currency instead of one mixed-up total.
- NewA “Call us” option next to Contact support on your Profile.
- ImprovedCrash reports now reach us automatically, so bugs get fixed sooner. They contain no names, emails or amounts.
8 October 2026
Invites that forgive typos
- ImprovedInvite codes now work with spaces, lower case, or without the “TABFUL-” at the start.
- NewInviting someone offers a “Send on WhatsApp” button alongside the other share options.
- ImprovedA code that isn't found now shows you the exact code that was tried, so a mistyped character is easy to spot.
7 October 2026
Settle up needs approval, and everyone has a real name
- NewWhen you record a payment, the other person approves or declines it. Balances only move once they approve. You can withdraw a payment while it waits.
- NewTap a person to see the groups you share, what is owed in each, a Settle up button per group, and a timeline of what passed between you.
- ImprovedMembers' names are looked up automatically from their own accounts, so no one has to type a friend's name in. Until a name arrives, members are numbered rather than all called “Group member”.
- ImprovedIn a group of two, “Who paid?” is a simple pick-one list. Adding several payers appears from three people up.
- ImprovedOn Add expense, Split with now comes straight after Paid by.
6 October 2026
Real invites, Pro groundwork and a hardening day
- NewInvite links, QR codes and short codes now genuinely join you to a group from another account.
- NewMerge a friend you added by name with their real account when they join.
- NewSettle up pays your friend's real UPI ID, asked for if it isn't known, never guessed.
- NewGroup customisation: ten avatar colours, a group photo, ten group types and a centred QR code.
- NewPush notifications for new expenses and settlement requests.
- NewTabful Pro (monthly and yearly) is built into the app. It isn't on sale yet.
- ImprovedEvery split is calculated in whole paise, so a bill never gains or loses a paisa.
- ImprovedA visible Total amount box and stronger outlines on every text box, in both light and dark themes.
- ImprovedRecurring expenses and removed members now sync between phones.
- FixedThe person who created a group no longer appears as “You” on everyone else's phone.
- FixedLocked down who can read and join groups, so only invited people can.
