Tabful Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Tabful is an app designed by ARTH (“we,” “us”). By installing or using the Tabful Android app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app. Our privacy policy explains how your data is handled and forms part of these terms.

What Tabful is, and isn’t

Tabful is a bookkeeping tool for shared expenses. It records who paid and who owes, and works out balances. It is not a bank, payment service or financial adviser. Tabful never holds or moves your money. When you choose to pay through UPI, Tabful opens your own UPI app; the payment is between you, your app and your bank, and Tabful does not know whether it succeeded until you say so.

Your account

  • You sign in with Google or an email and password. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information, and use your own name so the people you share a group with know who you are.
  • You may delete your account at any time. See how, and what that removes.

Shared groups and settling up

  • Groups are shared with the people you invite. Expenses, names and settlements in a group are visible to its members.
  • A payment you record as settled changes balances only after the other person approves it. You can withdraw it before they answer.
  • Balances shown in Tabful are only as accurate as what you and your group enter. Check them before you rely on them for real payments, and settle disputes between yourselves.

Acceptable use

Please don’t use Tabful to:

  • record false expenses to mislead or defraud other people;
  • harass, impersonate or add people to groups without their agreement;
  • probe, overload or try to break the service, or access data that isn’t yours;
  • use it for anything unlawful.

We may suspend accounts that do any of this.

Ads and Tabful Pro

The free app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. Tabful Pro is an optional subscription that removes ads. When it is on sale, it is billed and managed by Google Play: prices are shown in Play before you confirm, renewals and cancellations are managed in your Google Play subscriptions, and refunds follow Google Play’s policies. Pro is not on sale at the time of writing.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Tabful running but don’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features, and we may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Tabful after a change means you accept it.

No warranty, limited liability

Tabful is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, for money you pay or fail to collect on the strength of a balance shown in the app, or for disputes between members of a group. Where the law doesn’t allow a limit, our liability is limited to the smallest amount it permits. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can’t be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
